The good news here is that you are not lost and have room to grow to get that A. \u00a0But before we dive right in, we need to find out where you are strong and where you need extra help. \u00a0If you feel good about the course but know you need help,\u00a0we would suggest your organic chemistry study plan start with:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1) Accept the fact that if you want to improve your grade, it is going to be work. \u00a0If you are ready, move on to step 2.<\/p>\n

2) Watch the\u00a0EASE mechanism videos<\/a>. This will give you a great starting point of how and why organic chemistry reactions work.<\/p>\n

3) Then do all of the\u00a0flashcards<\/a>. \u00a0 They are categorized from 2-star (everyone needs to know these) to 4-star (A students will know all of these). \u00a0You should get all of the 2-star and some\u00a0of the 3-stars right. \u00a0Take note of\u00a0which 3-star and 4-star problems gave you the most problems. \u00a0This will help you identify weak areas so that you can<\/p>\n

4) \u00a0Address those weak areas\u00a0with the\u00a0tutorials<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0mini-movies<\/a>. \u00a0This will drill down into the topics that you are having the most difficulty with.<\/p>\n

5) Next, towards the end of the semester, you should watch all of\u00a0the\u00a0full semester review videos<\/a>\u00a0from start to finish.<\/p>\n

6) Print out all of the one page guides<\/a>, and tape them to your wall. \u00a0That way, you can see them all of the time and have it sink in by osmosis.<\/p>\n

7) Last, if you have time, download the “86 Tricks” e-book<\/a> and make sure you understand all of the 2-star and 3-star tricks.<\/p>\n

Of course, we encourage you to hit all of the resources on this site, but if you have limited time, this is a good plan for you to start with.<\/p>\n

AND…keep you chin up. \u00a0This is a tough course. \u00a0Possibly the toughest you will take in college. \u00a0Take a deep breath, cut yourself a little slack, and just keep studying.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
